Phytochemical estimation and evaluation of antioxidant activity of hydro-alcoholic and ethylacetate extracts of Tribulus terrestris linn. (gokhru) and Solanum nigrum linn (makoi)

Tribulus terrestris L. and Solanum nigrum has been used traditionally since ages. To explore the phytoconstituents (qualitatively quantitatively) estimate antioxidant activity of hydroalcoholic ethyl acetate extracts fruits nigrum. Different methods were adopted for phytochemical screening. Evaluation potential was achieved by total anti-oxidant capacity assay, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, DPPH radical-scavenging Nitric oxide radical reducing power assay. The qualitative estimation L showed presence various likewise tannins, saponins, flavonoids terpenoids. Quantitative revealed (5.01%w/w), saponins (0.70%w/w), terpenoids (0.013%w/w) in whereas (10.46%w/w), (11.02%w/w) (0.034%w/w) found It can be concluded that both possess significant activity.
